Foreign Qualification
Filing a Foreign Qualification allows your business to legally conduct business in states other than your home state.
A Company must generally register in any state that it does business in other than the state where the articles of incorporation/organization were filed in. The Company registers by typically filing a "Foreign Qualification" in the New State.
A Company must also file a Foreign Qualification in its Home State when the Company incorporates in a state this is different from where its business is located in. For instance, if a Company's articles of incorporation were filed in Nevada, but the Company does businss in a different home state (not Nevada), then the Company would need to file a Foreign Qualification in its home state.
