Change the Type or Form of your Company:

• A company has many reasons for wanting to change the type of Company. For instance, a limited liabilty company may wish to become a corporation or vice versa. In order to change a company's type for a corporation, limited liability company, partnership or simliar entity the company's board of directors or other management must first approve the new type of entity. The company then generally needs to file the appropriate document with the Secretary of State's office in the Company's home state. Some states may then require that the new changes be posted or published.
